OBSESSED: An Ode to Murray Hill
By Theo Kogan
The world may be going to hell in a handbasket but thank goodness we have Murray Hill!
I’ve known and adored Murray for many years. I’ve seen him on countless live NYC stages, including as our MC at Persisticon (which I co-founded). Not only am I thrilled for — and proud — of my friend, I am over the moon that I get to watch him from my cozy couch. Murray currently stars on three television shows: Bridget Everett’s Somebody Somewhere, Amy Schumer’s Life & Beth, and Paul Feig’s brand-new network show, Welcome to Flatch.
IT’S ME, MARGIT: Fun with Foot Surgery After 50
Some of you may have read this on TueNight.com in December, but we’re reposting this here to share a few podiatric updates… 🦶
In our 20s, 30s and even 40s, we go to the doctor and they say, “At some point, you might want to get that fixed.”
Apparently, our 50s are that “some point.” You’re not a senior citizen and the doctors still tell you things like “Well it’s good you’re doing this while you’re young…”
Eyes flutter: “Go on…”
OUR FIRST AMA — Ask Margit Anything
Paid subscribers can join me here on The TueNight Social, Tuesday, April 19th from 7-8pm ET for a live chat! We’ll have a casual, freewheeling discussion via an open thread — settle in with a cocktail, cook dinner while we chat, we’ll multitask and have fun.
What should you ask? Anything. Literally. You could ask questions about TueNight, our newly revamped space here on Substack and how to use it, my music journalism days interviewing Liz Phair, doing Tai Chi with Lou Reed, working with content strategy, my beagle Bo, my fave new band, where I got my glasses… any old thing.
All premium subscribers will have access to the AMA thread to ask questions and share comments on April 19th and we’ll send out an alert in advance. If you’re not already a paid subscriber, make sure you become one before the event! In addition to monthly AMAs with experts, you’ll get exclusive content from me and our Weekend Watch List, the ability to comment and join twice weekly threads and support our grown-ass lady storytelling.
See you next week in the chat!
xo, Margit
