Basic bio: Dana is a model, DJ, sister, and aunt who works in communications for an awesome food company. She’s working on various home projects and navigating hot flashes.
Beyond the bio: The pandemic put us all in time out; it most certainly changed my outlook on SO many areas of my life. In the last 2 years I watched my body change, I’ve slowed down, I even drive slower! I know that so few things matter in life. Take care of your health and keep your family close.
What makes you a grown-ass lady?
Honesty and gratitude have gotten me quite far, especially in these last couple of years. Also, there is very little that gets under my skin. I’m so much better at letting things go, saying farewell, and staying away from things that don’t bring me peace.

On the nightstand: My evening skincare products, a hard drive of my music files (I like to keep them close), and a handful of books about joy, zen, and saying yes to life.
Can’t stop/won’t stop: My obsession with music. I love to provide atmospheres. I love to provide the soundtrack for awesome memories.
Jam of the minute: The organs in the Honey Dijon remix of Beyonce’s “Break My Soul” really take me there!
Thing I miss: The pandemic sort of crushed nightlife, but I've adapted. It’s been a while since I’ve been out for a night of dancing (where I’m not the DJ!).
‘80s crush: Prince!
Current crush: Lenny Kravitz.
Latest fav find: Kucci Berry Kitty Scrub and Whole Foods’ Italian sparkling mineral water (the lime mint elderflower flavor).
Last thing you lost: My Apple earpods!
Best thing that happened recently: I was given a choice to make at work. I could throw my hat in the ring for an evolving role that isn’t really suited for me, or I could step aside and make room for a far better qualified person. I’ve decided to go for it.
Looking forward to: I’m battling with some skin discoloration — thanks adult acne! I’m looking forward to it fading away. More importantly, I’m looking forward to traveling, paying off the mortgage, and being a happy 51-year-old.
