Congratulations!! I feel you, Amy — my husband and I were so excited to meet our grandbaby and we looked forward to our new gig as grandparents… coming up with our grandparental names, not so much.
In fact, the pressure we (and our son’s in-laws) felt from friends and family was a little unexpected and very surprising, actually.
We finally landed on Mimi and Pops :) The in-laws were undecided, until our granddaughter began calling them Mamie and Poppa and they were like…okay, done!
It’s so cool to FaceTime with our 2yo grandbaby and hear her say to her brand new 2 month old baby sis, “Wook, Sissy…say hi to Mimi and Pops”!
