Carol & The End of the World feels too relatable 😅😅 (I’ve been looking forward to this one). Martha Kelly is a fantastic casting choice too.

I just watched a documentary this week called Bitterbrush about two young women who work as seasonal range riders (rounding up widely free-roaming cattle via horseback) in crazy remote Idaho.

It’s a very quiet film. In tone, pace, and sound capture. Gorgeous cinematography. Absolutely atmospheric. The kind where you can’t multitask / do anything else while watching.

It touches on themes around women in a traditionally male role, female friendship, class, religion, nature, animal care/training practices & philosophies, etc. without ever really confronting those things head-on (in a good, subtle way that leaves viewers to have these conversations with themselves).

I am enjoying re-watching The Leftovers on Netflix :)

Stunning cast : Carrie Coon, Justin Theroux, Margaret Qualley are wonderful (as are the rest of the cast!)
