If I happen upon it, I will always watch "Say Yes to the Dress." I have no idea why I enjoy it so much; I was not obsessed with getting married or what my wedding would be like, but I love it. Maybe it's partly my fascination with people who ARE really into that whole princessy fantasy? I dunno, but when Randy walks in and says, "hello, beautiful!" I just beam.

1) Daniel Silva novels (this is #23) - I must have the book or kindle on release day and then devote my entire day to reading it!

2) the Bible Recap - simple idea. Read the entire Bible in a calendar year. Icing on top - Tara Leigh Cobble takes 5-7 minutes each day to dive into the material and explain the overall meaning in an understanding way.

3) my new joy is Substack it’s totally new to me and autobiographical. My writing is based on all the demons I have faced in my lifetime and some I still face. Facing sobriety led me to this project of Facing All My Demons. I feel better, stronger for being honest with myself.

Salt & vinegar potato chips, silly late 70's Goldie Hawn comfort films like Foul Play & Seems Like Old Times, and my BFF Camille's total indulgence in crazy bespoke tiaras... I will always join her in wearing them just about everywhere :)

I try not to feel guilty about the things others judge as trashy or a waste of time/money and try to think of them as “little/occasional pleasures/indulgences”. I don’t feel guilty about loving badly made disaster films or the Marvel cinematic universe. I try not to feel sinful about monthly McDonald’s fries & chocolate shake (yes, for THAT monthly timing), or taking myself out for an expensive meal rather than sock that $100 into savings.

We all deserve to find enjoyment in this challenging world, and these kinds of things offer us that in smaller doses and guilt suggests we should feel shame about them. I’m also trying to lessen the self-judgment I tend towards, and shame just exacerbates that.

BritBox. From EastEnders on. There are so many great shows -- especially limited series based on true crime or their female-led copper dramas. Recently finished "Bailey & Scott" and "Unforgotten". Both very good. xo

Totally agree with you on the ASMR, something about listening to that after work is the best!
